Pair of Eclisse lamps by Vico Magistretti for Artemide, Italy, 1965.
These white Eclisse lamps, emblematic of Italian design, were designed by Vico Magistretti in 1965 and produced by Artemide. This model won the Compasso d’Oro award in 1967 and has become a global design reference, embodying the balance between form and function, design and utility. It is part of the collections of the world's leading museums, such as MoMA in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan. It is a table lamp that can also be mounted on the wall as a sconce, featuring a movable inner shade that allows for direct or diffused light. These are very old editions with white sockets and ball bearings (which have since been replaced by a black plastic knob since the 1980s). Please note that the cable is quite short: 90 cm. In excellent condition for its age: a tiny dent on the back of one of the two, a few small surface scratches, very slight colour variations, all of which are detailed in the photo gallery. Dimensions: Height: 19 cm. Diameter: 12 cm. Weight per piece: 550 g. Professional seller = fast and careful shipping.
