Arches and columns prayer rug

Flatwoven red, blue and beige woolen prayer rug. This carpet with arches and columns is used by muslims for prayer times. Through the use of a carpet, the idea is to create a place of prayer, pure and delimited from the surrounding world. Some of these rugs bear what is known as a mihrab pattern (prayer niche pattern), which denotes the direction of mecca. For practical reasons, prayer rugs are always small in size. In good condition but a little cleaning would not be superfluous.
