Pair of "fledermaus" / no.728 chairs designed by josef hoffmann for the wiener werkstätte in 1906 and produced by j. & j. Kohn. In 1907 cabaret fledermaus opened in vienna. The wiener werkstätte supplied the interior furnishings including this chair on which guests could sit backwards to watch the stage. Frame in stained beechwood. All original! Very good condition for the age of 100 years! Dxhxl: 48x75x54 cm. Sh: 46 cm. Round rare five-ball table by josef hoffmann also available in the same fabric!.
