This 18th-century Spanish blanket chest is a so-called six plank chest, soberly made from six solid walnut planks. Over the centuries, the wood has developed a beautiful warm patina, giving the chest a lived-in and authentic character. The chest still stands on its original legs and is fitted with the original hardware. An atmospheric and characterful piece, where the simplicity of the construction and the aged walnut come together.
