Antique Iranian Bakhtiar Faradombeh Oriental Rug: 3.37 X 2.13 meters. Early 20th century circa 1920/30 - other photos on request. The semi antique Persian tribal rug was made in the Persian village of Faradombeh located in Bakhtiari. This rug is and made of wool on cotton weft around the beginning of the 20th century, it has a distinctive floral design with striking antique colors. Faradonbeh rugs originate their designs and colors from fabrics and textiles of the European Renaissance period and for this reason their distinctive designs have become the hallmark of their rug weaves over the centuries. Condition wise it has uneven wear with patches of small holes, fraying at one end with an old repair and a small area of discoloration. This is an ideal acquisition for those who love a rare antique rug but are less concerned about its condition. Vintage, needs restoration and a good cleaning, this rug is intended for lovers and collectors of rare rugs.
