Swedish metal and glass pendant lamp, 1960s/70s

Copper-coloured chrome-plated metal pendant lamp punctuated by circular pressed-glass elements. Swedish production, 1960s/70s. Made in Sweden between the 1960s and 1970s, this pendant lamp combines a copper-coloured chrome-plated metal body with a series of circular pressed-glass elements set around its lower band. The construction reflects the lively experimentation found in Swedish lighting of the period, when metal surfaces, thick glass and pronounced textures were often combined to alter the diffusion of light and create more material lighting effects. Here, the glass discs become small points of light, animating the regular metal surface and emphasizing the flared profile of the pendant. Good condition. It may show signs of age.
