Piano bench stool upholstered canvas end of bed

This charming wide stool has everything to please: solid wood stained with a pretty mahogany color with fine cuts, handles and small balusters in turned wood and especially a canvas cladding with floral motifs in a beautiful condition with a nice finishing braid. This stool must date from the 1920s or 1930s. The seat still firm, while being soft, is held underneath by crossed straps in perfect condition. This pretty bench can have many uses: it will find its place in a room as a piece of bed or stool in front of a dressing table, in an entrance to put on shoes easily or in front of a piano. It is in good condition, very solid, very stable, but shows some signs of its hundred years: some beetle holes, which seem old and not active, but which I have treated, by acquired consciousness, by injection of household vinegar (this is my natural method to replace the chemical insecticide), some marks on the wood, mainly on the "uprights" of the handles. The canvas, original it seems to me, has a slight wear, two or three missing points, one revealing the pink frame below and a small pink spot very light, almost invisible. It measures 58 cm in total height (at the handles), 62 cm wide and 36 cm deep (at the base), 58 cm wide at the side handles. The seat is 53 cm wide and 39 cm deep, for a height of about 44 cm. It weighs about 4 or 5 kg.
