Rounded solid wood coffee table

This pretty solid wood coffee table has many advantages that I have been able to test at home. In fact, I bought it about twenty years ago in a flea market for my own use. It is zen, reassuring when you have young children, because its thick, rounded top without sharp corners or edges prevents children from getting hurt when they bump into it, the same for adults when the space is a a little small around: no bruised knees or shins! It is very solid and stable: my children have played on it, drawn on it and even climbed on it many times. Aesthetically, it has its own style that I cannot define: a top with scandinavian lines, almost gothic legs. When I found it, it was entirely covered with the dark brown lacquer (blackened wood style) which still covers its base (and which is rather easy to sand). So I won't be able to date it precisely but I think it dates from at least the 1980s and certainly much earlier. But after years of games, coloring, diy workshops, aperitifs too, it was covered in various and numerous marks, scratches, halos and stains, so I decided to sand it to begin with. This revealed the grain of the wood which I find nice. And as I do not yet have an idea of the follow-up to be given to its restoration (complete sanding. Relacquering of the top or simple varnishing?) I offer it to you as is for the moment, with still many marks of its previous life, but the top is smooth apart from a small dent (approximately 1cm², see photo). It measures 122 cm in length, 46 cm in width, 44 cm in height.
