Beautiful planter in earthenware of pexonne, rocaille model. On a white background, bird decorations and landscapes. Slight snags on one of the handles, traces of wear due to time, which makes it all its charm! Dimensions: 31x22 cm, 15 cm high. The pexonne pottery is one of the oldest in lorraine, since 1720, and continued to produce until 1953. It was in the 1900s that earthenware made its golden age, with the arrival of immigrants from sarreguemines, following the war of 1870. Colored earthenware gave way to white clay at this time, with the use of transparent enamel. New modern furnaces allow a more consistent production at this time. A beautiful object of everyday life of time, to enhance at home! Can be used in different configurations: potpourri, planter (first use!), vacuum, fruit cup, ... Let your imagination run wild!.
