If you've looked at my online store here recently, you'll immediately recognize this large vase! In any case, I recognized it before I even saw the signature underneath ;) by dint of putting online utilitarian ceramics signed by jean-pierre prud'homme (large service of which some elements are already on sale here, but not all), I recognized its characteristic enameling at first glance. It is therefore a large and beautiful vase in puisaye stoneware with a pretty enamel mixing soft and comforting tones: beige, caramel and chocolate, typical material and colors of the 70s. It has beautiful lines, it is well balanced, a beautiful craftsmanship both for the throwing and for the enameling. It is signed underneath with in addition the handwritten mention in hollow "fait main". Added on 12/28/24: the somewhat unusual signature would indicate that this vase was made by Jean-Pierre's son, a little before he took over the workshop, perhaps rather in the 80s then. Jean-Pierre Prud'homme founded with his wife a craft pottery workshop in 1971 in Monnaie, working with clay from the Nièvre (Puisaye sandstone). This workshop still exists today (atelier au grès du vent), it is run by his son Benoit Prud'homme who took over in the 1990s-2000s and also creates very beautiful ceramics. This vase dates from the 70s and is in perfect condition, no defects to report. It measures 29 cm in height, approximately 20 cm in diameter at the belly, 16.5 cm in diameter at the top, 11.5 cm in diameter at the base.
