Frederik Kayser Hertug sideboard in rosewood Viken Norway 1960

Exceptional ‘Hertug’ sideboard designed by Frederik Kayser and manufactured by Viken in Norway during the 1960s. Crafted in beautifully figured rosewood, the sideboard features exceptionally striking grain patterns, with rich warm tones and dramatic dark markings flowing continuously across the four doors. Its clean, architectural design is complemented by a finely framed cabinet and an elegant solid wood base with tapered legs. Behind the four hinged doors is a thoughtfully arranged interior with adjustable shelves and a bank of four drawers, offering generous and versatile storage. The combination of refined proportions, beautiful wood selection and understated detailing makes this an outstanding example of Scandinavian modern design. The original key is included.
