Églomisé mirror glass panel birds of paradise 1950

Large decorative wall panel "birds of paradise" in verre églomisé 1950. The technique of verre églomisé dates back to antiquity. It consists of fixing a thin sheet of gold or silver under the glass; the drawing is executed with drypoint and is held by a second layer or a glass plate. Very beautiful work of gold leaf which enhances the decor and transforms the space in a spectacular way. The decor is seen upside down and then shines with an inimitable shine given to it by the light reflected by the glass. Dimensions 160 X 90 cm.
