Geometric wood and string-art table lamp

Vintage wooden sculptural table lamp with string-art geometric detailing. The combination of wood panels and white thread creates almost a kinetic, architectural shade. The shade is constructed from several triangular wooden panels arranged around the light source, with fine white threads stretched between regularly spaced points to create intersecting geometric patterns. The open construction allows light to filter through the threadwork and between the wooden panels, producing an interesting play of light and shadow. The natural wood finish continues through the turned central stem and substantial circular base, giving the lamp a warm, handcrafted character. Its unusual combination of wood, geometric form and textile-like threadwork makes it as much a decorative sculptural object as a functional lamp. A distinctive choice for a mid-century, Scandinavian, rustic-modern or eclectic interior. It is equipped with one E14 light bulb socket, European 2-pin wall plug and an on/off switch.
