Vintage hanging lamp "Trava" in copper aluminum by Carl Thore for Granhaga Metallindustri 1960

This is the iconic series of pendant lamps by swedish designer carl thore called "trava". The original idea behind the lamps was that you could take them apart and reassemble them according to your own wishes. This is the medium-sized version in copper-colored brushed aluminum. Very good condition. See photos for details. The real name of the designer known as carl thore was sigurd lindkvist, and he was born in 1916 in åmal in dalsland, sweden. After working for a lighting company called luko, lindkvist joined granhaga metallindustri in 1961, for whom he designed lamps and was also head of sales, and remained with the company until he retired around 1981.
