Nourished by various stays in Central America, Sophie Parachey's work questions the change of scenery, the antagonism of the ancestral and the modern, and the relationship with the living. His pieces are modeled in sandstone or collected earth, which are expressed according to their curves, textures and resonances. Rough or smoothed, together they tell a paradoxical universe. Primary and raw volumes, barely emerging from the magma, rub shoulders with softer, more subtle forms. From this astonishing cohabitation a new balance seems to be reborn.
