Rare Bauhaus-era insulated teapot, designed in Germany between the 1920s and 1930s. This iconic model perfectly illustrates the functional aesthetic of the Bauhaus movement. It consists of a spherical body in hammered silver-plated metal, lined with felt on the inside to retain heat. Inside, a white porcelain teapot signed Bauscher Weiden, a famous German manufacturer. The whole rests on three orange Bakelite feet, matching the lid knob, also in Bakelite. The hinged opening/closing system is still functional. The bottom of the metal structure is engraved DRP (Deutsches Reichspatent), proof of its antiquity and a German imperial patent. Dimensions Height: 17 Width: 27 Depth: 17 Very good overall condition for its age. Patina and small marks on the metal, but no cracks on the porcelain. Complete object, rare in this configuration. A piece of historical design, at the crossroads of German functionalism and industrial design. Ideal for collectors of Bauhaus pieces or lovers of vintage decor.
