Pair of bedside tables inspired by Shaker style with drawers, produced by De Padova in Italy around 1980. Following a Shaker furniture exhibition in Milan, Maddalena De Padova asked George Nelson to reinterpret several historical models from this American community, known for its simple and functional furniture. Made of solid cherry wood and cherry veneer plywood, each bedside table features a rectangular top with rounded corners, supported by a central turned base with three curved legs. A dovetail drawer under the top can be opened from either side. Manufacturer: De Padova, Italy, around 1980. Good vintage condition, with slight signs of age and use.
