Large desk from the 60s with a clearly Scandinavian inspiration. It is made in France. It comes from the Capelle house in Montauban, created in 1962 by the brothers Jean and Raymond Capelle. This factory was renowned for the quality of its manufacturing. This model impresses as much by its dimensions as by the elegance of its design. Perched on elegant spindle legs, this desk with clean lines offers a beautiful work surface with its large top (1.32 m / 62 cm). It has two blocks with 3 large drawers for one and a shelf for the other. The right block closes with the original key. This one is not in the photo, but will of course be supplied with the desk. We like the color of its plating which gives it a very warm appearance. The silver metal handles give it added elegance. And there is no obligation to place it against a wall, since the concern for aesthetics has been pushed to the rear facade. This elegant and typical piece of furniture, with its vintage codes identifiable at first glance, will blend perfectly with contemporary decor. The desk of course has some signs of use consistent with its age, notably on the bottom below the left block but invisible, reinforcement except., but it remains in very good condition. Height: 74 cm. Length: 1.31 m. Depth: 62 cm. Dimensions of the boxes: 39 cm / 62 cm.
