Danish Teak Secretaire by Johannes Sorth for Bornholms Mobelfabrik, 1960s

Danish design secretaire. This tall danish chest of shelves with pull out desk is manufactured bornholms møbelfabrik from a pressed wood teak veneer composite. Made late 60s the design by johannes sorth of this chest of shelves was aimed for city folk that needed to combine living space functionality as much as possible. The pull out desk is not very big but allows for one to create a working space within a few seconds. Vintage bookcase. The desk is finished with style with tambour doors and three small drawers behind it for a playful twist. Beneath the desk there are two sliding doors with very elegant small solid wood carved grips. These sliding doors open up to a horizontal storage space. This chest of shelves is in very good vintage condition. Width > 100 cm. Height > 182 cm. Depth extension desk > 37 cm.
