Early chairs by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller, 1950s, set of 4

This elegant set of four early edition DSS side or dining chairs was manufactured during the 1950s and was designed by Charles & Ray Eames. These rare pieces are from the Herman Miller - Fehlbaum Production, which was launched during the 1950s before the manufacturer Vitra started its own licensed production for the European market. The high-quality chairs are stackable and feature the original fiberglass seat shells, upholstered with skai / leatherette in a white tone. The outer shells have a light off-white tone and display the characteristic fiberglass texture. Their bases are made from chromium-plated steel tube. The chairs are in all original condition with minor traces of use.
