A very pretty vintage edouard charbonnier ironware plate from the salins earthenware factory, bristol model. Stamped "salins ec" (for édouard charbonnier) followed by the words "terre de fer"., it has a magnificent cobalt blue decoration composed of bouquets of flowers in medallions and friezes of flowers and foliage on an ivory earthenware background. The bristol model from the salins earthenware factory was produced under the direction of édouard charbonnier, who took over the factory in 1912. Although the exact launch date of the bristol model is not specified, it is likely that it was introduced between 1912 and 1936, during which time the factory was under the direction of édouard charbonnier. Good condition, very shiny, some micro scratches from use and a tiny chip barely visible on the edge. Diameter: 24 cms.
