Melon-shaped sandstone pitcher with a branch-shaped handle. The main colours range from brown to ochre; darker grooves highlight the shapes of the fruit. This pitcher is signed under the "denbac" stamp base and the model number "472". Denbac is the brand name of the ceramics factory denert and balichon in vierzon, born from the association between ceramicist rené denert (1872-1937) and manager rené louis balichon (1885-1949). The production period of decorative and advertising sandstone under the denbac brand began in 1921 and declined after the death of rené denert in 1937, until the company's final closure in 1952.
