This antique caucasian rug was woven by hand in shirvan, a historical iranian region in the eastern caucasus in the 1880s. The central design features a fantastic repeat diagonal design woven with floral motifs in accents of green, blue, orange and beige. The traditional tribal design is then framed by a layered repeat pattern border. The rustic colour palette and traditional village design in this piece make it the perfect accent rug for any home interior.
