Child's chair in wicker and woven rattan

Child's armchair in wicker and braided rattan, France, circa 1940. Structure in natural rattan, backrest and armrests in braided wicker with an open diamond pattern, seat in tightly woven herringbone wicker, legs connected by curved rattan stretchers. Armrests with knotted braids at the corners, carefully finished. Enveloping bowl shape typical of small garden or children's bedroom armchairs from the Belle Époque and the interwar period. Uniform honey-gold patina. Height: 50 cm. Seat height: 28 cm. Width: 41 cm. Depth: 39 cm. Very good overall condition. Intact wicker, no visible broken strands. Uniform old patina.
