Recycled vintage lamp — antique bronze candlestick base and graphic flowers

An authentic gilded bronze candlestick, with a baluster shaft adorned with leaf and shell motifs, resting on a moulded base: this slender silhouette evokes the Rococo style beloved in the 18th century, here in a design that particularly recalls the reissues and pieces of Louis XV style that were very popular in the 19th century, especially during the Second Empire (Napoleon III period, around 1850-1880), when bourgeois interiors liked to reintroduce this ancient ornamental vocabulary. In our workshop, this candlestick and its faux candle have been preserved to maintain its original appearance. It is topped with a fully hand-sewn lampshade, in a graphic floral print of coral pink, mustard, and dark green, highlighted with an ochre ribbon that echoes the patina of the bronze. The result: a hybrid piece, between classical heritage and contemporary pattern, perfect for adding character to a side table, desk, or console. Origin: France.
