Jean Jaffeux coffee table

A coffee table with a metal footing typically in the 1950s and a lava stone tray enamelled by jean jaffeux (1931-2015), work of the 1950s. A fan of the unique piece, jean jaffeux is an auvergne artist known for his work in ceramics and enamel on lava. Here, through a half-abstract, half-figurative graphic, jaffeux evokes trees, forest, birds and in a small blue triangle, the sky. Unlike many of his very colorful productions, this one is distinguished by the use of a color palette composed mainly of two shades, brown and gray in different tones. And this is where this little triangle with blue enamel takes on its full dimension. Original paint on the base, very good state of use. 92.5x31.3cm high: 38cm - lava plate 91x30.5cm.
