Set of 4 cream caned bistro chairs – Thonet, timeless elegance

Vintage 60s / 70s. These four bistro chairs, made of bent wood (using steam bending technique), are direct descendants of the iconic curved models from the 19th century popularised by the Thonet school, and have gracefully traversed the decades. Their double-loop backs offer a fluid and lightweight silhouette; the seats are made of natural woven cane in very good condition. They show a few minor signs of wear that highlight their authenticity. They are stable and sturdy. Their bright look allows them to easily blend with various interior decorations. The cream finish adds a contemporary softness. They will be perfect around a wooden, marble, or metal table. This is a Polish production from the city of Radomsko, a renowned centre for bent wood bistro furniture since the early 20th century (workshops inheriting Thonet techniques). They are labelled underneath the seat.
