Recycled vintage lamp — twisted blue ceramic base, floral shade

A sky blue glazed ceramic foot, featuring a twisted relief pattern reminiscent of waves or flutes, which beautifully captures light on its shiny surface: this round and sculptural shape, with its swirling flutes, evokes decorative ceramics from the mid-20th century, where relief patterns achieved through moulding added movement to otherwise very simple forms. In our workshop, this vintage foot has been completely refurbished and topped with a new lampshade made of cotton voile, hand-printed with small pink flowers on a sky blue background using block print technique. This artisanal printing method, where each motif is stamped one by one using carved wooden blocks, results in a slightly irregular and lively finish, typical of Indian craftsmanship. The result: a fresh and bright lamp, balancing pastel softness and delicate floral patterns. Its compact size makes it an ideal piece for a bedside table, desk, or shelf.
