Stunning "new age" ball vase in multicolored and transparent blown glass signed bob le bleïs, maure-vieil glassworks 1960 - 1970, 20th century. Signature with the crossed "mv" stamp below the piece for maure vieil glassworks. This vase with corolla reminiscent of egyptian ointment pots and with its designs suggested a 19th century japonism. The cream and brown colors create a swirl on a transparent glass base imitating chalcedony stone to perfection. Dimensions: diameter 15 cm, height 17.5 cm, weight 930 grams very good condition, michèle guyot and her husband robert le bleiss (bob and mic) were not simple master glassmakers, but true artists with almost sacred inspiration; it is with faith that they transformed glass paste into spectacular works; pieces of superb quality. Their manufacture used a complex process invented by the romans and brought back to light by art nouveau. They thus obtained works designed like chinese calligraphy where the ancient craft of blown glass blended with the new spirituality of the 1960s, the new age. For this reason, the masterful style of the maure-vieil glassworks can be defined as "new age." the new age (or new age) is a contemporary spiritual movement that took off during the second half of the 20th century and is characterized by an individual and eclectic approach to spirituality and sexuality. Marilyn ferguson defines it as "the emergence of a new cultural paradigm, heralding a new era in which humanity will achieve the realization of a significant part of its psychic and spiritual potential.".
