Antique vermilion wardrobe with original patina (China, circa 1900). Our antique red wardrobe is made of solid wood and has retained its original red colour, applied to the wood many years ago. This type of wardrobe was once produced in pairs and formed part of the dowry that a woman would give to her future husband. We retrieved it from an old house in central China, and it has been meticulously restored following the artisanal restoration process of the time. It features two large doors that open to reveal a very spacious area for storing all kinds of clothing or accessories. There are also three practical drawers at the bottom. We particularly love the specific shade of this piece of furniture, as well as its sturdiness provided by the thickness of the solid wood… this piece will be a wardrobe that lasts over time… elegant.
