The janka scale has a scale that rates the hardness and mass of mindi wood at 1.055, while red oak is at 1.060. The difference in hardness between the two is almost imperceptible. Mindi is naturally rot and mildew resistant, just like cedar wood. The texture is coarse like oak, but has tighter grains than oak. Each wooden kitchen stool is handcrafted.
