Large enamelled stoneware vase from the art deco period. The odetta line takes its name from the river odet which crosses quimper and was introduced by jules verlingue in the early twentieth century when he took over the earthenware factory of the large hb house in quimper. The breton with the pipe holds its place in a universe of sandstone with geometric patterns reminiscent of the earth and the enamel flows of an intense blue almost ink are magnificent. Height 29/30 cm. At the widest 20 cm. Opening 9 cm. Very nice condition - signed and numbered.
