Azilal carpet in wool

100% hand-woven azilal wool with quality skimpy wool with asymmetrical geometric shapes pink, orange yellow, black and blue. The azilal carpets come from the azilal region, located in the remote and very difficult-to-reach mountains of the high atlas, about 200 km from marrakech in morocco. Originally made for family use to cope with the cold of the high atlas, they are handmade by local women and are characterized by their ivory-cream background made of virgin natural wool, and their colorful patterns made with vegetable dyes or colored cotton threads. Each rug tells its own story through woven lines, patterns and symbols. It blends perfectly with bohemian decorations but also with modern interiors and design. The marriage between ethnicity and design has never been more real than with this beautiful azilal rug that will find its place in any room of the house: children's bedroom, living room, office, adult bedroom... In the last photo we can see that the orange corner is slightly damaged: the fringes are slightly deranged. This does not detract from the beauty of the carpet. Note: fully handmade and vintage, this carpet has some irregularities that do not detract from its beauty. This is what makes it charming and unique! ***** Maintenance: Moderate use of vacuum cleaner to preserve the softest wool. The best way to remove dust is to turn the carpet upside down. In case of a task, you can use a mixture of marseille soap or a special product for wool by diluting it 5 times in lukewarm water. Do not wash the entire carpet but only the stained part.
