Diamond chair Harry Bertoia

The various details, such as the screws and the nuts, suggest, according to experts and well-known documentation, that we are dealing with a relatively early copy. The model appeared on the market in 1952 and this example has all the characteristics of a model from before 1970. Harry bertoia was originally a sculptor, who also wanted to achieve an organic form with less common materials. When you look closely you see a diamond shape, but also a kind of manta ray, a large fish, in the design. While at first it may seem like this chair offers the comfort of a creatively folded shopping cart, that's definitely not the case when you look at it longer and sit on it. The seat is just right, sufficiently deep and the armrests are perfectly placed, this comfort, combined with its extravagant appearance make this piece a real designer piece of world class! In an original condition, beautiful patina on the chrome, for the real purist there is an even more beautiful copy to make by a day of brushing with a steel wool, we prefer this unique original condition and therefore also offer this exclusive piece sharply.
