Antique Thonet folding chair – Kaminsessel

Original antique Thonet 'Kaminsessel no. 1'. The original rattan seat and backrest were professionally replaced at the time with this beautiful blue-green fabric. Very nice as a side chair. Marked. Stable frame in bent wood. The design of the chair dates from 1863. The chair can be found in the Thonet catalogue of 1886, among others. The MOMA in New York has the same chair in its collection, as does the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Seat height: 42cm. Width: 46cm. Height: 89cm. Depth: 75cm. Weight: 5kg.
