Antique writing table library circa 1860 with twin slopes.

We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare original library table from around 1860 in mahogany, featuring integrated twin writing slopes. It is a very rare piece; I have not seen another like it. It can be used as a normal two-drawer desk or even as a dining table. The intended function was for two students or workers needing writing slopes to share, sitting face to face like a partner desk, but of course, it is a table. It comes with the original slides that can be removed, which hold books, etc., in place when using the slope incline. Each slope has 4-5 positions to adjust the angle accordingly. We have cleaned, waxed, and polished it from top to bottom; it shows various age-related marks and signs of use as one would expect, but overall it is in very good condition.
