Indo-Persian silk carpet hunting scene

Indo-persian carpet ghoum silk. Carpet decorated with "hunting", mid-20th century. Field with motifs of warriors and hunters, reproduction of hunting scenes from ancient persia. Main border with idyllic floral decoration. Beautiful color palettes. "so girly" the hunt in pink... China is also the birthplace of more exclusive carpets, knotted entirely with silk. Very rare, these carpets sometimes hide threads of pure gold. Chinese silk carpets have a very high knotting density, and their design is largely inspired by the patterns of ancient persian craftsmanship. Incredible finesse meticulous work on silk.
