“Bambole” Daybed by Mario Bellini for B&B Italia, 1970

An eye-catching “Bambole” daybed, designed by Mario Bellini and manufactured by B&B Italia in Italy around 1970. This exquisite Italian daybed / sleeping sofa is upholstered in high quality white fabric. The “Bambole” daybed has a unique folding structure that makes it a versatile piece for any space. It is an iconic piece of mid-century design and a highly recognizable example of Bellini’s unique style! When folded out, it turns into a two person (day)bed that can be used as a guest bed or even as a decorative comfortable piece in any interior. Its unique form and comfortable setup invite you to unwind and luxuriate in style. Stamped and signed as shown in the photos. This unique find remains in very good, vintage condition, with minor wear that is consistent with its age and use. The fabric is original and shows some traces of use in the shape of very mild colour differences, but it's not very noticeable due to the light colour of the material. The folding mechanism still works perfectly. The piece is strong and sturdy, no structural flaws, and still has the intended comfort!
