Pair of Plateau & Porcelain Goblet – Virebent Manufacture – 1970s/80s

Beautiful set in matte glazed porcelain from the famous French manufacturer Virebent (Puy-l'Évêque in the Lot), dating from the 1970s/1980s. This harmonious lot consists of a large rectangular tray and a matching cup (which can serve as a single flower vase, a designer pencil holder, or a tea cup). The panoramic decor, very poetic and minimalist, depicts a landscape of stylized mountains overflown by birds. The contrast between the finely powdered blue-gray background and the dark reliefs gives a magnificent graphic depth to the whole, heavily inspired by modernist aesthetics and Japanese prints. Dimensions: • Tray: Length 31.5 cm × Width 24 cm × Thickness 2 cm. • Cup / Pot: Height 12 cm × Diameter 6 cm. Condition: Very nice vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or restorations.
