Mouth blown glass. Made by Vera Walther. Circa 1990. Engraved signature. Original label. H 18, 5 cm. A ‘lightweight’ tulip-shape design glass from the famous German glass artist Vera Walther. Although this delicate mouth-blown glass has been made around 1990, its colors and design quality are reminiscent of the Art Nouveau style. Made of thin colorless glass with a bulbous bowl, funnel-shaped shaft and round base, the piece’s bowl and base are decorated with an intricate blue floral motif all around, connecting at the shaft in vertical lines alluding to flower stems. The Vera Walther glass contains the artists’ acid etched signature and the original adhesive label.
