Mid Century ES104 Lobby chair by Charles and Ray Eames for Vitra, 1960s

The lobby chair is similar in construction to the lounge chair, and just as comfortable. It consists of three separate cushions connected by metal side pieces. This armchair was originally designed for the lobby of the time life building in new york. In the years that followed, different versions were created, but they all have one thing in common: extraordinary seating comfort. This chair hasn't have any sticker but it has a mark in the steel base that the base has been manufactured in scandinavia. There is enough proof that this original because vitra used these bases for the early edition that they made in the 1960's.
