Vintage Globe hanging lamp by Peill & Putzler, 1970s

Vintage globe hanging lamp from the german brand peill & putzler. This glass globe with chrome top was made in the 1970s. The lamp is in beautiful vintage condition and was fitted with a new ceiling cap. The original manufacturer's sticker is also present as a sign of authenticity. Dimensions are 30 cm (diameter glass ball). Total height is adjustable. Peill & son was founded in 1903 and merged with putzler (founded in 1869) in 1947, continuing under the name 'peill + putzler glashüttenwerke'. Throughout its existence, the company has collaborated with both important designers and other companies such as raak amsterdam and massive. At its peak (1950s), about 1500 people worked for the company. In 2004, one year after their 100th anniversary, the company was unfortunately declared bankrupt.
