Table lamp with earthenware peacock and beige silk lampshade

Period: ca. 1940-1970. A functional and ultra-decorative piece. The turquoise earthenware peacock stands on a base pierced with white peonies with purplish stems. It is most likely a chinese earthenware made as an incense dispenser and was mounted on a gilded bronze leg. The foot is round and from it extrudes the stem which has been slightly curved to follow the body of the peacock. The classic large lampshade is made of a rough silk of off-white beige color. The plug has a type c plug (2 pins without ground) and is currently suitable for european voltage (230 volts - 50 hz). The lamp works. State: Good. No damage. Minor oxidation marks on the foot (see photo). The decorative border on one side of the lampshade is a little frayed at the edge (see photo). Dimensions: see photo.
