Dimensions: approx. 57 × 61 × 86 × 46 cm (Width × Depth × Height × Seat Height) Original dining chair by Tage Poulsen, designed in 1974 in Denmark. This model is an excellent example of the transition from classic mid-century Scandinavian design to a more rustic, material-focused aesthetic of the 1970s. The chair is made from solid knotty pine wood and captivates with its warmth and lively grain. The seat is made of handwoven paper cord, giving the piece a natural lightness and high seating comfort. The combination of robust solid wood and fine weaving creates an interesting contrast between rustic presence and elegant restraint. Tage Poulsen was a Danish designer particularly known for his functional and durable creations. His work is characterised by a clear formal language and a close connection to nature – qualities that are particularly well reflected in this project. Condition: Good vintage condition with signs of age-related use. The wood has some scratches and marks. The paper cord shows a patina with slight wear and small stains – charming and perfectly suited to the character and age of the chair. Stable and fully functional. A dining chair full of character, robust, with authentic 70s charm.
