Old 19th century silverless bronze candlestick

Old silverless bronze candlestick, Empire period (early 19th century). Molded shaft and mid-length frieze of palmettes, plain molded circular base. Formerly silvered, presence of hallmarks under the base. Dimensions: height: 24 cm base diameter: 11.5 cm weight: 516 g. This charming candlestick was found abandoned in a shed among many family souvenirs, from the previous owners, in a very poor condition! After many gentle cleanings, we had the pleasure of discovering it in such good condition, and so lovely. Its shape and rarity make it both a decorative object and a testament to the know-how of our past craftsmen. Yesterday in Luxeuil-Les Bains, today in Burgundy where will he go tomorrow.
