1950s Rare rattan chair by Rohé, Netherlands

A beautiful rare lounge chair manufactured by rohé in the netherlands around 1950. Made of beautiful warm brown coloured rattan on a tubular black lacquered metal base. This unique piece has a very elegant design, with the rattan nicely bent into shape, and allowing an impressive seating comfort. The piece can perfectly be combined with a cushion but is beautiful on it’s own as well! The use of rattan is typical for dutch design from the mid-century and this is a rare and especially elegant example of that style! It remains in good vintage condition with some wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
