Description
The medea chair, created by italian designer vittorio nobili, is an iconic piece of mid-20th century modernist design. Designed in the 1950s, it embodies the avant-garde aesthetic of the era with its clean lines and organic form. This set of four chairs is made up of thermoformed walnut plywood seats, each resting on four black lacquered tubular legs ending in small gold brass shoes. Seat height: 45 cm edition: fratelli tagliabue, circa 1954. Presented at the "compasso d'oro". Prize at the milan triennale in 1956 bibliography: g. Gramigna, repertorio 1950-1980, mondadori, 1985, p.90.
