Superb antique plate in fine Gien earthenware, distributed by the famous Grand Dépôt of Émile Bourgeois in Paris. A highly regarded network in the 19th century for the distribution of beautiful pieces, often from the best French and English manufacturers. Presence of the triangular GIEN impressed mark, dated around 1875, which places this plate in the midst of the sought-after period of antique production. Deep blue decor with classical inspiration, very elegant, featuring a central medallion and a richly worked frieze. Perfect for wall decor, a characterful table, or a collection of ironstone. An interesting piece due to its double marking (Gien + Bourgeois), sought after by enthusiasts of earthenware history. Overall good condition for its age. A few discreet micro-chips on the edges. Small stains in the centre. Light signs of use. Nothing shocking, remains a very beautiful antique piece full of charm. Dimensions: diameter 26 cm – height 2 cm. Weight: 580 g.
