Gilded metal console with black glass top

Period: ca. 1950s. This is a very elegant console with modest proportions that would look great in a modern as well as classic setting. The structure is made of gilded metal. The four legs are fluted in a neoclassical style. This style continues with the caryatid appliques on both front feet and the acanthus leaves in the open apron. The feet are joined by an x-shaped spacer with a spinning top in the center. The top has a rounded rectangular shape on which there is a removable black glass top. The table should be fixed to the wall by the screw holes on the back. Status: good. The glass is perfect. Oxidation stains on the feet. Dimensions: 77.5 cm high, 75 cm long, 22.5 cm deep, 8 kg.
