Glazed earthenware jug

Glazed earthenware jug with a generous and unique silhouette. Its rounded body is dressed in a green glaze with slight variations from firing, while its spherical side handle, in iridescent chocolate brown tones, gives it an immediately recognisable personality. The shape evokes certain regional popular productions from the mid-20th century, straddling functional pottery and decorative piece. Unmarked, this jug reflects hand-turned and hand-glazed work, with the irregularities and nuances that embody the charm of old glazed earthenware. In good vintage condition, with some usage chips on the upper rim and at the base (see photos). Height 14.5 cm, diameter at the widest point 12 cm, width including handle 17 cm.
